Three Legged Side Table

Keeping active items off the floor is one of the cornerstones of civilized living. Leave your mug of tea down by your feet long enough and eventually you'll be drinking foot fuzz. No respectable household should tolerate such conditions. This side table exists to help restore order.

The versions shown here are made from curly maple and quilted sapele, though almost any wood species would work beautifully. Features include hand-cut dovetails on both the tabletop and drawer, a hand-turned column, and sculpted feet. The knob can also be custom turned on the lathe or replaced with a salvaged antique knob if you have a favorite sitting around.
