Every project begins with a conversation about how a space is used, what problems need solving, and what kind of piece might serve it best. The work shown here spans custom furniture, practical woodworking solutions, and artwork developed through years of studio practice and hands-on problem solving.

Custom Furniture

I build custom, heirloom-quality furniture designed around the particular rhythms of a home and the people living in it. Some clients come with a fully formed idea, while others begin with a specific need, a difficult space, or a piece from the gallery they'd like adapted to fit their environment. Each piece is built by hand using traditional joinery techniques and solid hardwoods selected for quality and character. The goal is furniture that fits how you actually live rather than furniture that simply fills a room.

Woodworking & Creative Solutions

Not every furniture problem fits a standard category. Sometimes a space has an unusual configuration, a piece needs to be modified to work differently, or something worth keeping just needs to be brought back to life. This part of the practice covers furniture repair, structural restoration, and the kind of design thinking that comes from years of making things work in difficult spaces. My work with Hand-Joined Family Furniture has given me extensive experience designing around unusual constraints, small spaces, and the practical realities of daily life. If you have a problem and aren't sure where to start, that's exactly what this conversation is for.

Artwork & Illustration

The drawings and paintings on this site grew out of the same studio practice that informs my furniture design, with an emphasis on atmosphere, personality, and hand-made character. If something here resonates with you, or if you have a project in mind that might benefit from that kind of work, I'm open to many possibilities. I've even been known to paint a pet portrait from time to time.
