Twin Bed

If you tell your 4yr old daughter that she can pick out any wood she wants for her new big bed, don't be surprised if she falls in love with the bright purple kind. While I would never select such a color scheme for myself or anyone else, I think this bed turned out really neat. And she's very happy, which is all that matters.

This bed is a standard twin size and is made from purpleheart and pine. It holds a tatami mat and a futon (not included), but would be suitable for any kind of mattress. It could, and should, be made from any other appropriate hardwood, and in most sizes.

This one measures 30(h) x 42(w) x 78(d)” with 10” underneath.
