Black Painting 4

This painting is supposed to be the very last thing you see before an image fades to complete black. The series was a way to deal with an enormous stockpile of photographs I collected over the years that I no longer wanted to hold on to. It was a way to say goodbye and finally throw the photos in the trash. I never finished the series as there are hundreds, but I was able to say goodbye to seven of them and that felt pretty good.
