This is a very heavy coffee table made out of a really old plank of red cedar (I think), with a white oak undercarriage. The plank was used as some sort of work surface for more than 100 years, as you can see saw marks and forged nails still embedded. I took out all the pokey bits, sanded the splinters, and reinforced the under side with bowties. Other than that, I left it alone to keep its history intact. It’s strong enough to hold a full tea set, a few magazines, a laptop computer, or even a family of three. Dimensions are approximately 17 x 52 x 15 inches.
